The Canon PowerShot Pro Series S5 IS digital camera is an 8 megapixel camera that can take quality shots for full-blown 16×22 prints. Couple that with a 12x optical zoom and you will realize that this digicam will not compromise your shots.

It boasts of the latest technologies from Canon such as the DIGIC III Image processor thus allowing you not only quality photos but also great movies (of up top one hour) that are detaled and clear. You can also attach the Canon Speedlite EX Series external flashes in your Powershot S5 IS with the use of the hot show adapter.

The 2.5 inches high resolution vari-angle LCD allows you to take great shots even when you have to do it from an angle such as when you get overhead shots. Canon’s Optical Image Stabilizer Technology reduces camera shake and blurs even when you zoom in tight.

The Casio Exilim EX-F1 is a 6 megapixel camera (which is too low considering other cameras in this category already have 8MPs) but its strength lies in its ability to record high speed video with up to 1200 frames per second that’s ideal for slow motion shots.

The 6MP resolution is however matched by teh 12x optical zoom lens. The camera’s image sensor-shift image stabilization feature also allows crips and clear images.

The 2.8 inches LCD screen is great for viewing previews of your photos. Users will however find it difficult to take full advantage of all the rich features of this digital camera considering that the the major points that should have been documented in the manual are all in the PDF. Thats’ a downer.
