The Vivitar ViviCam 5355 Silver Digital Camera is a compact camera with a 5 megapixel resolution and a 3x optical zoom lens. It has a slightly large 2.4-inch LCD display from where you can preview your shots.

This camera can capture videos but it’s basically a digital camera so don’t expect great movies from this one. It has an MP3 which is a novelty for a camera, and an anti-shake function which reduces blurs when taking photos.

Your package comes with a USB cable for easy transfer of images to your PC and a camera pouch and strap for easy handling. Of course it also comes with Software CD

ViviCam 6320

Saturday, June 14th, 2008

The ViviCam 6320 is a 6 megapixel camera and a 4x optical zoom with the same problems encountered by those who probably own or previously owned a Vivitar camera and that is the sloow shutetr speed. By the time the camera shutter clicks the subject is already gone.

While this camera is fairly cheap and has a 2.4 inches LCD screen, it seems impossibel to take photos of children and animals and those who just can’t sit still for a portrait shot! The photos are also blurry and dark so don’t expect winning photos here.

Well at least you can take advantage of the Pictbridge to print your own photos but that may be foolhardy since you would probably need to edit them first to make them clearer.

Vivitar ViviCam 3815: Not Bad For A First Camera

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

digital11.jpg

Planning to buy your first digital camera?  The Vivitar ViviCam 3815 is an affordable and easy to use camera for first time users.  At $79.99, this digital camera can be a good gadget for those just practising their shooting skills.

However, do not expect much in terms of picture quality even though despite the 4 megapixels resolution.  If you want to get good shots then outdoor shots are better for this camera than indoor shots.  It does not have an optical zoom lens so expect some hazy shots—but it does have a 2x digital zoom.

It does have a video option with a resolution of 320 x 240 (QVGA).  Preview your shots using the very small 1.4 inches screen.  The Vivicam 3815 has a 16MB internal memory.
