Fujifilm FinePix F200EXR

Wednesday, April 22nd, 2009

The F200EXR also comes with a powerful Fujinon 5x optical zoom lens that offers a wide-to-telephoto range of 28-140mm; manual shooting that allows control over aperture, shutter speed, and exposure compensation; and five classic Fuji Film Simulation modes including Provia for natural tones, Velvia for vivid color reproduction, Astia for smooth tonalities, and black and white and sepia modes. The F200EXR also features sensor-shift image stabilization, Fuji’s Face Detection 3.0, some helpful shooting presets like landscape and portrait, Dynamic Range Bracketing, and sensitivity up to an unprecedented ISO 12800.

After first unwrapping the F200EXR from the box, I appreciated its design right away. It sports a more traditional boxy construction and a concave curvature along the length of the camera. It measures 3.8 by 2.3 by 0.9 inches and weighs 6.8 ounces with the battery and memory card. The F200EXR is a solidly built camera with stylish trimming, traditional point-and-shoot dials, and a large retractable lens that makes it portable and compact.

Fuji FinePix J10 Digital Camera

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

digital5.jpg

If you are looking for an entry camera that is not only user friendly but takes good pictures as well then Fuji FinePix J10 is worth a try. This is an 8.2 megapixel camera which is great for those who just want to point and click and do nothing much with their cameras because it does not have the sophisticated features of most modern cameras aside from a simple menu system that will help you get good images.

The Fuji FinePix J10 is a compact camera which is just the size of your credit card and weighs 4.5 ounces. First time camera users would love the easy to use but very basic features of the digicam. It has a 2.5 inch LCD screen that’s just enough for shooting previews. Beside the screen is the very friendly menu button where you can access the full menu system.

If you want maximum use of the 15 scene modes then better read the manual for an explanation of each setting. The Fuji FinePix J10 might be an entry level camera but it has very good image stabilization you can get good shots even when taking photos of moving objects like vehicles. You can also make full use of the scene modes like baby mode for more natural baby colors and the text mode for shooting documents.

This camera can also capture video clips, the quality of which are average considering that this is a beginner’s camera. No zoom feature for video clips though so better zoom in on your subject before you get your clips. It has a minimal internal memory of 8MB only so better get more storage space using SHDC memory cards, SD or xD-Picture Cards.

FinePix Z200fd

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

digital.jpg

The FinePix Z200fd can be compared to the Z100fd since both camera models have almost the same features including the all metal body, 19.8 mm size and a sliding front cover.

The FinePix Z200fd boasts of new technologies like the Face Detection Technology, Dual Image Stabilization and red-eye removal which is done automatically. Have you ever had a bad time not being included in the photo because you have to set things up and your camera timer moves so fast even before you get even just your head in? Well, it has a self timer that is automatically activated when there are faces detected on the frame. However, the Face Detection feature of this camera makes sure that the camera does not “click” when even one face is out of the frame.

Storage is not a problem even if you take photos all the time and fail to download them immediately because it ghas a 52 MB internal memory backed up by microSD ards, SDHC cards and xD-Picture.

This is an ideal camera for couples who want to get two-gether shots even if they do not bring in a photographer. Thanks to the couple timer feature, the shutter button is automatically released once the camera detects two faces boxed in the frame. And here’s a bonus. You also get three setting options so you can program the couple timer if you want cheeks to cheeks shot or a side by side shots.

Enjoy not only the camera’s features but also its colors. Choose from pink, red and black combination, silver and black. How lucky can you get?

Those who want a point and shoot camera without complications can add this to their wish list if they want a competitively-priced camera. It also boasts of an image stabilization feature which is usually available in high end cameras to reduce blurs.

Friday, April 18th, 2008

digital4.jpg

The Fuji FinePix F100fd is a simple camera but it will answer your needs if you require a digital camera with higher resolution.  At a price range of between $200 to $300, the 12.1 megapixel resolution of this camera is a good bargain.  It also produces crisp and much better images compared to the other cameras within its price range.

The Fuji FinePix F100fd has a 5x optical zoom lens and 8.2x digital zoom lens.  It also boasts of Continuous AF with Face Detection as well as Dual Image Stabilization features. It is capable of shooting in AVI Movie Mode with sound and the pics come in JPEF formats for easy transfer to the web.

The digicam is pretty heavy though at 170 grams sans memory media and battery and that’s  a pretty load to carry for those who bring their cameras everywhere they go.
